02 / Work

One example.

↗ Live project
Recruit2College

A college recruiting platform built for high school athletes — helping students navigate the recruiting process with AI-powered tools rather than expensive consultants.

The platform brings together a conversational chatbot, a voice intake agent, and automated follow-up workflows into a single, working system. Built from scratch, deployed to production.

Takeaway

"The best way to learn AI implementation is to build something real. Recruit2College was a proof of concept that became a working product — voice agents, chatbots, automation, all connected."

03 / About

Who's building this.

C
Chris
Co-Founder · Strategy & Implementation
15+ years as a claims analyst in the insurance industry. Deep background in complex, process-heavy operations — now applying that lens to AI tooling and practical implementation.
V
Vanessa
Co-Founder · Marketing, Operations & Brand
15+ years in program management with a focus on transformative and strategic enablement. Vanessa brings the operational rigor and strategic clarity that turns AI concepts into structured, scalable programs.

Tokkiann AI is a two-person operation built on complementary strengths. Chris brings the technical depth — years of working inside complex, process-heavy industries gave him a clear view of where automation and AI actually matter versus where it just adds noise.

Vanessa brings the program management and strategy layer — 15+ years of experience in transformative and strategic enablement means she knows how to take a capability and build the structure, process, and roadmap around it that makes it actually stick.

Together, the goal is simple: build real AI implementations, share what we learn, and keep the focus on things that actually work in production — not demos, not hype.

We're based in the Phoenix area. The industry background is an asset — we know how operations run, which makes it easier to build tools that fit the reality.

04 / Insights

Things learned building this.

01
Voice agents are harder than chatbots — in ways that matter.
Text is forgiving. Voice isn't. Latency, interruption handling, awkward silences — these all surface immediately in production. Tuning a voice agent is iterative and ongoing, not a one-time setup.
02
The automation layer is often where projects live or die.
Getting a chatbot to answer questions is table stakes. Getting that data to flow correctly into your CRM, trigger the right notification, and not break when a field is empty — that's the real work.
03
Industry knowledge is a legitimate technical advantage.
Knowing how an operation actually runs means building tools that fit the reality rather than a simplified version of it. That context doesn't disappear when you switch domains.
04
Deploy early, fix in production.
Local testing reveals maybe 40% of real issues. The rest surface when actual users hit actual edge cases. Build something minimal, get it live, and iterate based on what you observe.
